Abstract
We investigate, under specific conditions, the effect of a test particle on the process of overspinning rotating black holes in
high-dimensional pure Lovelock gravity by throwing in a test particle across the event horizon. We consider the case in which it is possible to throw a test particle into the black hole with a suitable region of parameter space. By doing this, we test the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for a rotating black hole in pure Lovelock gravity theory. We show that it is possible for a test particle to overspin a rotating black hole, resulting in violating the weak cosmic censorship conjecture in pure Lovelock gravity.
